Harriet Chebet Ng'ok

EU-Funding Project Manager, Finance & Competence

Ms. Harriet Chebet Ng’ok; Harriet is a financier, consultant and trainer based out of Nairobi, Kenya. She has been a Mentor Business Coach and consultant with the Cherie Blair Foundation for the past 4 years and is not only familiar with the programme and its objectives but has also mentored four mentees, 2 from South Africa, 1 from Malaysia and currently 1 from Vietnam. In the past she worked as an Entrepreneur Consultant for Sinapis, a group who put Entrepreneurs and their Start-Ups through a 6 month Mini-MBA programme and provided them with USD 10,000 at the end of the programme as startup capital. In this context she developed the programme, taught the courses, mentored and coached businesses in the Renewable Energy, Agribusiness and Retail sectors.

While at JPMorgan Chase she was instrumental in founding the JPMorgan Foundation for Women to ensure more women received the requisite business skills and opportunities needed to penetrate the Investment Banking world. She is the East Africa Partner for Dwyka Projects Limited, a group that sources, develops and implements finance and management programmes in Sub-Saharan Africa for corporates, educational institutions, NGO’s and other clients specifically in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Uganda, Mali, Rwanda and South Africa. She has direct experience in creating and implementing branding, corporate governance, finance, team building, health leadership and entrepreneurship (entrepreneurship specifically for women and youth and under CSR) programmes in the region. Clients include Rand Gold Resources, AngloGold Ashanti, Graduate School of Business University of Cape Town, Western Cape Health Department, Sun International, PWC, Truworths, IHRSA, Gordon Institute of Business Science, IESE Business School, Henley Business School and the Vega School of Brand Leadership. Dwyka has proprietary rights to Analogue: An interactive business simulation game that leads participants through an Algorithm based iterative process of setting strategy, planning and implementation of decisions.

She is also the East Africa Partner for Equinox Global Consultants a US based company with a focus on project development and capital raising in the sectors of Health, Education, Renewable Energy and Affordable Housing. Projects include NCCK Jumuia Hospitals and Schools, Baringo Marigat, Asticom Waste to Energy, Kumasi Bio-Energy Project, Africa Gospel Church Real Estate Development, Bible Society Real Estate Development, Kwale Sugar, The Initiates PLC Nigeria, Agriculture Fund in Zambia, Malawi Investment Authority and Rwanda Development Authority. She has ample experience in Finance having worked for JPMorgan, the Financial Services Authority and Goldman Sachs in London for a significant period as detailed in her C.V. Harriet is also the lead in Investor Relations for Leading Women of Africa (Cape Town), a group that is focused on developing and raising capital for projects in Infrastructure, Power and Energy led by African Women. Harriet speaks English, Kiswahili and basic French.
